API iLTx Laser Tracker
The API iLTx Laser Tracker is an ultra-compact, highly portable solution for high-precision 3D measurement, alignment, and inspection. Designed for demanding industrial and large-scale metrology applications, the iLTx combines accurate coordinate measurement with an exceptionally small and lightweight tracker platform, making it ideal for confined spaces, difficult-access locations, and applications where portability is critical.
With support for reflector-based measurements and the API vProbe, the iLTx provides flexible measurement capabilities for dimensional inspection, machine alignment, tooling setup, and large-component measurement. Laser trackers operate by measuring two angles and a distance. The tracker sends a laser beam to a retroreflective target held against the object being measured. As light is reflected off the target, it bounced back and re-enters the tracker at the same position it left and is measured by a distance meter, measuring the distance between the tracker and target.
